Founded in 2007, Artwine is a team of crafters and designers devoted to making charming felt pieces that you can use to decorate yourself, your home, your school supplies, your laptops… (it really is a long list of possibilities!)

We create these felt pretties in a studio in Las Pinas, Manila. But we can be found virtually all over the globe thru www.shopartwine.com (you’re in it right now!), our facebook page, twitter and multiply shop.

Our history and why you shouldn’t confuse us with wine-makers.
After graduating from MultiMedia Arts in De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, Beam together with her boyfriend founded this small business to keep their creative juices flowing apart from the mind-squeezing activities they do in their full-time jobs. When they were coming up with a name, iTunes played Nancy Sinatra’s “Summer Wine”. All they had to do was replace it with “art” to create a playfully original word! The two claim it means: intertwined art.

Two years later, Beam quit her job to rescue her painfully idle business. This time, she teamed up with the experienced Hershey Chan and Jason Confesor to come up with a brand that puts the A in awesome.

Meet the brains behind it.

Beam Mariano – the creative brain
Having won several awards in painting her whole life, she thought that she’ll be into fine arts when she’s as big as mommy. But one recommendation to substitute an absent DIY stylist in a magazine led her to this path of arts and crafts. She hasn’t stopped tinkering with cloth, paper and glitter since then.

Hershey Chan – the business brain
Although she’s using the right side of the brain in Artwine, Hershey is an artist herself. She ditched her dull day job uniform to colorful ensembles that display more of her creative side. Aside from Artwine, Hershey is also the co-owner of Zuri International where she makes jewelries that scream elegance!
